We welcome this morning our newly baptized sister London Rose Scriven and her parents, Lakeisha Williams and James Scrivenin, and her grandparents Arthur and Marsha Williams. We also welcome her godparents, Allyson Berkeley, Shauntia Sidbury, Annette Dancy, Keisha Witcher and Hector Lopez. May God bless London and surround her with love and the love of family and friends as she grows up.

Commentaries on the Biblical Lessons: Today we continue putting short commen-taries on the Lessons in the bulletin. These commentaries are written by our own Arthur Cash to help us understand the lessons at a deeper level.
Manhattan North Inter-Parish Council Annual Celebration Event: Friday, June 11, 2010, Church of the Intercession, 550 West 155th Street; 6:30 pm Eucharist, 7:30 pm dinner. Donation: $40.00 Adults; $15.00 Children (under 12).
The Episcopal Church Women’s Prayer Committee will meet next Sunday, June 13th, Ms. Glenda White will lead the program. All women are invited.
St. Mary’s Summer Camp: For children 6 to 12 years old, a great summer of recreation and education. Come join in the fun! Session begins July 6th. Please see Ms. Pearl Harris or call the church office for registration information.
Eccelsia: Marcus Garvey Park: Sundays at 2:00 pm. St. Mary’s is the lead congregation on the first and third Sunday each month. Today we need some volunteers following the service to help us put together the meals. Also: St. Mary’s Homeless Street Outreach: Saturdays, 12 noon preparation and 2:00 pm street outreach. Please let us know if you can help and please keep the Homeless Street Outreach in your prayers. We need more volunteers for this important outreach ministry of the parish. Thank you!!
Museum of Sex (bet that got your attention!) Rev. Kooperkamp will be speaking this Wednesday, June 9th at 7:30 pm on “Faith in Latex: A discussion about religion, spirituality, sexuality and condom usage,” along with representatives of Roman Catholic, Pentecostal, Jewish and Buddhist traditions. 233 Fifth Ave. at 27th Street, Free admission.
