Today, Sundae Social (Justice) – Reprised! 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. Decorate your ice cream with toppings corresponding to social justice issues for this special coffee hour fundraising event!

The ECW Prayer Group will meet at a later time than usual today: 1 p.m.  All women welcome.

Saturday Outreach (every week) & Ecclesia (1st & last Sundays) need vehicle support to deliver food to hungry folks in East Harlem.  If you have a driver’s license or a car please call the church office.

NYC Primary Elections are this Tuesday, September 10th.  Polls are open 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.  Remember to find your polling place in advance.  Every vote counts!

Save the Date!  The Harlem Chamber Players Season Opening Concert: Sunday September 15, 2013, 3:00 p.m.  We hope you will join us for an afternoon of beautiful music by Mozart, a New York premiere by James Cohn and the classic Mendelssohn Octet!  $15 General Admission, $10 Seniors/Students.

The Fundraising Committee would like to invite you to our next meeting: Tuesday, September 10 at 6:30 p.m.  Next up in the line-up: Fashion Show!  Produced by our own fabulous Dwayne Lavender!  September 28, 8-10 p.m., $10 in advance / $15 at the door, includes one free drink and free snacks.

There will be a Parish Informational Meeting on Sunday, September 29, after the 8 a.m., and after the 10 a.m. service.  Come and hear about what is happening at St. Mary’s.  Bring your questions and concerns.

Would you like to be a Eucharistic Minister?  Or help with the Altar Guild?  Special training will be available this fall.  Training for a Eucharistic Minister or Eucharistic Visitor will take place on October 26, 2013 at Holy Trinity Church, East 88th Street in New York City.  Time: 9:45a.m. to 2:30p.m.. Lunch will be provided.  There is a registration fee of $15.00 and you can register on line at www.dioceseny.org.  Scholarships are available.  In November, the Altar Guild of New York will be giving a class for all interested in working in that Ministry at the House of the Redeemer at 4 East 94th St on the16th of November.  There is no cost and lunch will be provided.  The session will begin at 10a.m. and end at 3p.m..

St. Mary’s is starting a group to visit, call and send cards to members who are sick or homebound.  If you are interested in participating please speak to Bonnie Phelps or Glenda White.
