Dr. Mary Foulke and Seminarian Marilyn McCord will lead classes exploring the foundational beliefs and practices of the Episcopal Church based on the Nicene Creed. This is an opportunity for those who are new to learn more about the Episcopal Church, for those longtime members to refresh their faith, and for all to experience a close community of learning and prayer. Please join us on Saturdays from 10:30 am to 12 noon!

March 7                 God at Work (please note, following this class we will assist with Saturday Outreach distribution of food to hungry people in our neighborhood)

All are welcome to attend one or more classes; those wishing the Rite of Confirmation, Reception or Reaffirmation of Faith are required to attend all classes and save the date: Saturday, April 4, at 5 pm, when we will go together to the Cathedral for the Great Easter Vigil. Regular Happenings at St. Mary’s Church!                                                                                              “Black History Month”

Ecclesia, every First Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Marcus Garvey Park:                      St. Mary’s is the lead congregation on the 1st of each month. We always need some volunteers to help prepare and serve the “Second Meal” following the service.

Today at 3 pm, St. Mary’s Church will host the 7th Annual                                           Harlem Chamber Players Black History Celebration                                                     Please join us                                                                                                                               Birthdays and Baptismal Blessings Every first Sunday of each month                         Healing Prayer Every third Sunday of each month                                                                   Men’s Prayer Group meets every last Saturday of the month at 9:00 a.m.                         ECW Prayer Group meets second Sundays following the 10:00 a.m. service.                  All women are welcome.  Please join us!                                                                                      Episcopal Church Women meets every third Sunday of the month following the 10:00 a.m.   Church  Service.                                                                                                                 The Vestry meets on the fourth Sunday of every month at 12 noon.  All are invited.           Miriam, Mark and Marx Gospel/Social Activism Group convenes on the last Thursday of every month at 6:00 p.m. in the St. Francis Chapel (back of the sanctuary). Spirit and Strife Peer Support Group meets every first Sunday 12:30-1:30 p.m. in the rectory living room. New members always welcome. Come share your burdens and joys in this prayerful circle of support.

Free!  Movies Every Friday Night at St. Mary’s Church at 6:00 pm. Black History Feature: February 27, get on up (drama w/ music, pg-13, 2014, 139 mins)   the story of james brown’s rise from poverty to superstardom.      So…Come for the fellowship, the movie, the popcorn, and the fun…         as always volunteers are needed.
