Lent 2015 Confirmation, Reception, Reaffirmation of Faith -Learning and Prayer Group
On Saturday mornings in Lent the Rev. Dr. Mary Foulke and Seminarian Marilyn McMillan will lead classes exploring the foundational beliefs and practices of the Episcopal Church based on the Nicene Creed. This is an opportunity for those who are new to learn more about the Episcopal Church, for those longtime members to refresh their faith, and for all to experience a close community of learning and prayer. Please join us on Saturdays from 10:30 am to 12 noon!

Ecclesia, every First Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Marcus Garvey Park: St. Mary’s is the lead congregation on the 1st of each month. We always need some volunteers to help prepare and serve the “Second Meal” following the service.
Annual Meeting and Elections At St. Mary’s Annual Meeting on March 1, 2015, we gave thanks for the faithful service of Radford Arrindell (Warden for 4 years), Shirrell Patterson (Vestry member for 6 years), Lysander Puccio (moved from Vestry member to full-time Director of the New York Intern Program), Greg Scholl (Vestry member who has moved with his wife, the Rev. Chloe Breyer to St. Philip’s), and Jim White (Vestry member who completed his first term). We celebrate the elections of new leadership: Lisa Slocum, Warden; new Vestry are Radford Arrindell, Freddi Brown-Carter, Eva Greene, Kym Roberts, and Jim White (2nd term). We also elected St. Mary’s delegates to Diocesan Convention: Freddi Brown-Carter and Joel Kovel, and representatives to the Manhattan North Inter-Parish Council: Linda Burton, Gloria Ellis-Smith, and Eva Greene.
