Celebrate   the   Feast   of   the   Nativity   of   the   Blessed   Virgin   Mary,   Mother   of   Justice

 with movement, creative arts, performance, procession, justice fairfilm and carnival games

Saturday – 9/12

10:30 amUrban Qi (Tai Chi/Qi Gong class)-Undercroft

11 amTerror at the Towers, Rectory; a reading with author Cathie Wright-Lewis, author of Passion’s Pride: Return to the Dawning

1 pm – Rosary Making Workshop, Rectory 101*

1 pm – Meditative Drawing, Rectory 102*

2 pm – St. Mary’s Concrete Justice Troupe – Church

with Theatre of the Oppressed NYC; performance and participation

2 pm – Healing Arts Workshop with Achinore School – Undercroft

4 pm – Icon Making Workshop, Rectory*

4 pm – Reflections on the Magnificat (Bible study), Parish Hall*

 

Sunday – 9/13 

 10 am – Procession of the Infant Virgin and Festive Eucharist – Church

11:30 am Justice Fair – Garden

with Social Justice Sundaes — ice-cream with social-justice themed toppings: red hot candies for attention to climate change, pay day candy bars for living wages.

12:00 noon (until 4) – Carnival Games for kids and grown-ups – Garden

2 pm – Film: The House I Live In (http://www.thehouseilivein.org/) & Discussion – Rectory

5 pm – Meditation (led by Insight Meditation Society) – Rectory
