Engaging and encouraging children’s questions about life, death, meaning and faith. We explore scripture (especially the Book of Genesis) and tradition through art, movement, field trips, songs , stories, and service to others. Meeting in the Rectory.
Ecclesia needs volunteers! St. Mary’s offers an outdoor Eucharist for the homeless at Marcus Garvey Park on the first Sunday of each month. Volunteers are needed to bring Eucharistic supplies, and to make and transport sandwiches for an agape meal after the Eucharist. If you are willing to help, speak to Mother Mary.
Campaign to Help Syrian Refugees
Aim: To assemble 8,000 emergency hygiene kits which will be shipped and distributed to Syrian refugees in refugee camps
Organizers: The Multifaith Alliance (MFA) for Syrian Refugees, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee in collaboration with Heart to Heart International (HHI)
Date: June 26, 2016
Time: 12 – 5 p.m. (1 hour shift per individual)
Where: Lexington Avenue Armory on East 25th Street in Manhattan
What you can do: To disseminate information (newsletter, listserv, website, etc); To assemble at least 20 volunteers that will represent your organization and will commit to a one-hour shift between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. on June 26; please sign up by contacting NYIP Intern Nurana Radjabova, email@example.com.

Last year’s CJ show, Homeless Woes addressed gentrification, unsafe shelter conditions and problems in the housing system. No acting experience necessary, all ages welcome! Saturday, June 11 – CLEAN OUT
On or before June 11 at 12:00 noon, all groups must clean out any extraneous stuff, make sure needed supplies are put away in labeled cabinets/containers. ALL food must be stored in sealed glass, metal or hard plastic containers (rodent proof).
Saturday, June 18 – CLEAN UP
On or before June 18 at 12:00 noon, we will be washing walls, cabinets, trunks, chairs, tables, doors, etc.
Saturday, July 9 – REPAIRS
On or before July 19 at 12:00 noon, we will be repairing locks, plastering columns, and more. If you would like to participate, please check in with Raheem Harris in the main office (212-864-4013 or email@example.com) or show up on 7/19. If you would like to put something on the list for repair, please contact Raheem.
