Ecclesia, every first Sunday at 2:00 p.m. in Marcus Garvey Park:                                    St. Mary’s is the lead congregation on the 1st Sunday of each month.
We always need some volunteers to help prepare and serve the “Second Meal” following the service.

“CRAFT CHURCH,” 3-7pm (the second Saturday of every month) in the St. Mary’s rectory common rooms.  Bring your craft project (any kind!) and make progress in excellent company.  We also take a few moments out for prayer and reflection about the gift of creativity and how artistic pursuits can bring us closer to God.  Questions?  Email Lisa at lisa.marie.slocum@gmail.com.

Healing Prayer third Sunday of each month.

Men’s Prayer Group  last Saturday of the month at 9:00 a.m.

 Women’s Prayer Group second Sundays following the 10:00 a.m. service. All women are welcome to join us!

4th Sunday Potluck: Bring a dish to share following 10am worship.

The Vestry meets on the fourth Sunday of every month at 1 p.m.  All are invited. Next meeting: August 27

Miriam, Mark and Marx: Our interfaith Justice and Peace Activism Community meets the last Thursday of each month. We gather at 6:00PM to share food, experiences, and feelings. We then plan how to advance in the struggle against racism, sexism, and expanding war in these very troubling times.  For information or Pastoral Care call Jim White at 201-956-5356, or leave him a message in the parish office.  Next meeting: August 31.

Saturday Mobile Soup Kitchen: Help prepare sandwiches and lunch bags and then distribute them to our neighbors on the street. Every Saturday at 12 noon.

 Spirit and Strife Peer Support Group the first Sunday of each month at 12:30pm in the rectory – Come share your burdens and joys in this prayerful circle of support. New members always welcome.

Free Movie! Every Friday Night at St. Mary’s Church at 6:00 pm… September 8: St. Mary’s Movies! Living as struggle, the Redeemer, Cousin Bobby! Come for the fellowship, the movie, the popcorn, dinner and the fun…  as always, volunteers are needed.   

 Urban Qi (free Tai Chi and Qi Gong classes) every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:30 am.
