St. Mary’s News for September 24!

REMINDER:  Sunday Worship will be at 8 and 10:30 am from now on!

Monday!

The Mothers March for Justice for Mohammed Bah

September 25, gather at 11 am, vigil at 12, followed by a march to the State Office Building

On Sept. 25, 2012 Hawa Bah called 911 to request an ambulance for her son, Mohamed, who was in physical and emotional distress. NYPD ESU officers arrived instead. They forced their way into Mohamed’s home with guns drawn and killed him. The last bullet was fired at close range while Mohamed lay on the ground. The state and federal criminal justice systems have failed to hold Officers Edwin Mateo, Andrew Kress and Michael Green – who all fired at Mohamed – accountable, but Mohamed’s mother has remained steadfast in her demand for justice for her son and all other victims of police violence. Please join Mrs. Bah, her family, other families who have lost loved ones to the police from New York and across the country, faith leaders and community organizations and supporters on Sept. 25 to honor Mohamed and continue the call for justice.

Help Build a Sukkah!

October 1 at 12 noon
