Sunday, February 25, Coffee Hour: Living Our Faith: The Spiritual Path
During coffee hour, we continue our year of praying and learning together with some history around our Church. On February 25, join in a discussion of spiritual path, using Luke 6:20-26, “Blessings and Woes” as a focus.

A series of speakers addressing the theme “Let Justice Roll like a River: Honoring Dr Martin Luther King Jr. and Thomas Merton in their Anniversary Year.” Preachers:

Sunday, March 4, 12:30 pm: St. Mary’s Annual Meeting and Parish Lunch
Following the 10:30 am service, join us for St. Mary’s annual meeting in the Undercroft! Enjoy a meal together, review the last year, and look ahead to the rest of 2018. Vote for Vestry members, hear the latest financial report, and get to know St. Mary’s all over again. Looking for volunteers to cook!

 Sunday, March 11: Poetry Sunday
This year we will celebrate Poetry Sunday on March 11! The theme is “Do What is True and Come to the Light” in remembrance of the Anniversary of Death of Harriet Tubman on March 10. If you have a poem that you would like to share that reflects the theme, please contact the Parish Office.

Saturday & Sunday, March 17-18: Calling all artists!
A “spiritual art” exhibit at St. Mary’s on Saturday, March 17, 5 pm to 7 pm, and Sunday, March 18 during coffee hour. The display dates may be extended if agreeable to the artists. Everyone is invited to share any original art that they consider to be spiritual in nature, to invite reflection by the public and members of St. Mary’s. The event on Saturday will be combined with a reception to honor the icon of Our Lady of Ferguson, which St. Mary’s will be hosting during Lent. Lent 2018: Stations of the Cross 
An exhibition across NYC in 14 iconic destinations (http://www.artstations.org/). St. Mary’s will host Station 3: Jesus Falls, with an icon entitled “Our Lady of Ferguson” in our sanctuary throughout the Lenten season. People will be able to visit during office open hours (Monday-Friday, 10 am to 2 pm), and Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm as well as on Sundays.

NY Cares Coat Drive
Information as to where and when individuals can get coats is available in the Parish Office and the Food Pantry.

Ecclesia
Every 1st Sunday 2:00 p.m. in Marcus Garvey Park. St. Mary’s is the lead congregation on the first Sunday of each month. We always need some volunteers to help prepare and serve the “Second Meal” following the service.

Harlem Insight
Meditation for all levels. By donation.  All are welcome. No experience is necessary. Saturdays 10 am-12 pm in the Rectory.

Unity Fellowship Church of New York
Led by Sr. Bishop Zachary Jones. Unity worships on Sundays at 2:00pm.

Metro New York Adventist Forum
Led by Ms. Janet Schultz. Adventist Forum gathers on the second Saturday of the month (please check for specific dates).

Pamsula Zen Meditation
Teacher Daiken Nelson. Every Monday evening at 6:00 pm in the rectory.

Miriam, Mark and Marx: Our interfaith Justice and Peace Activism Community meets the last Thursday of each month. We gather at 6:00PM to share food, experiences, and feelings. We then plan how to advance in the struggle against racism, sexism, and expanding war in these very troubling times.  For information or Pastoral Care call Jim White at 201-956-5356, or leave him a message in the parish office.  Next meeting: Feb 22.

Free Movie! Every Friday Night at St. Mary’s Church at 6:00 pm… St. Mary’s Movies! mar. 2shaolin soccer (2001, pg, action comedy, 1h 27min)  down-and-out martial arts brotherhood bands together to use their skills in a soccer tournament.  w/ stephen chow (PLUS:  oscar ballots distributed) Come for the fellowship, the movie, the popcorn, dinner and the fun…  as always, volunteers are needed.  

Saturday Mobile Soup Kitchen: Help prepare sandwiches and lunch bags and then distribute them to our neighbors on the street. Every Saturday at 12 noon.

Urban Qi (free Tai Chi and Qi Gong classes for St. Mary’s members) every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:30 am at St. Nicholas Park @135th Street. Inclement weather–meet in the Undercroft.
